Vacation Clarksville
So good to see folks back--I missed y'all! Deen, we're going to have to try that Springfield chicken.
RB, the last two Whataburgers I remember were in Frayser--that one I remember--and maybe Brooks Road?
Bojangles! We used to have those here, too, but they've been gone a long time. It's chicken, right, Jilkey?
I'm not a fan of Cracker Barrel, but we did stop on the way down (the pancakes were great, though). I stared at a piece of bacon a server had dropped on the floor and wanted so much to keep my mouth shut--now there was a fall waiting to happen!--but common decency won out over my cruel sense of humor. (There were old people there, and we don't want to see old people fall...) But if I HADN'T seen it and reported it, I might have a funny story to tell about someone slipping on a piece of bacon, and really, isn't that better than a banana peel? It's certainly more Southern.
Carole, hope you are recovering well and am glad to hear you've got a new pup coming. Randal, hope Nashville is treating you well and you're finding good food (check out the Germantown Cafe), and Mark--is it really surprising that your family likes Whataburger too? We always seem to like the same things.
